Batman: The Dark Knight released in India and all over the globe on 18th July, 2008. This film was directed by Christopher Nolan. This film had a huge list of popular actors to make it a worthwhile venture. The lead cast includes Heath Ledger, Christian Bale, Maggie Gyllenhaal, Morgan Freeman, Aaron Eckhart and Michael Caine.
Batman: The Dark Knight was of the genre of action, drama, thriller and crime. This has been a gem of a movie written and directed by the innovative director Christopher Nolan.
The story of this film centers on the Gotham city where newly elected district attorney Harvey Dent, Batman and Lieutenant James Gordon tries to rescue this city from the hostile criminal atmosphere and the dangerous criminal called the Joker. In the course of the film love has been showcased between Batman, Harvey Dent and Rachel Dawes.
The Batman: The Dark Knight has already won 2 Oscar nominations, one for the supporting actor’s role played by Heath Ledger (Joker) and the other for sound editing by Richard King. Heath Ledger’s role will be remembered long for this movie as his acting masterpiece has portrayed effectively the character of Joker as the viewers would have loved to see.
