Friday the 13th is the one movie that managed to make more money than any other horror movie that released in the year 2009. The movie was wonderfully directed by Marcus Nispel and produced by Michael B, Sean Cunninghamay, Andrew Form as well as Bradley Fuller. The screenplay is the work of Damian Shannon and Mark Swift while the story belongs to Damian Shannon, Mark Swift and Mark Swift. The flawless cinematography of the movie has been done by Daniel Pearl.
The plot of the movie involves a group of young people who go camping and happen to set their tent in a place which has witnessed a series of murders in the year 1980. This haunted place leads them in a lot of dangerous situations and puts them in a position where they are always under the fear of being attacked. Will these young people be able to complete this camping trip of theirs or will they become a part of the horror stories attached with the Crystal Lake. Watch Friday the 13th to figure out.
The movie boasts of a brilliant cast with actors like Jared Padalecki, Amanda Righetti, Danielle Panabaker, Aaron Yoo, Travis Van Winkle, Jonathan Sadowski, Derek Mears and Arlen Escarpeta. All the actors fit in their roles perfectly and have put in their best to make Friday the 13th looks believable as well as scary.
Friday the 13th has been shot in Texas as opposed to the original movie bearing the same name of 1980, which was shot in New Jersey. Rumor has it that John Moore was the first choice of the production house to act as the director.
The business that the movie made was phenomenal by standards of the earnings of other horror movies of the same time. The gross income of Friday the 13th as on the opening day was $19,293,446 from the period of February 14 to 16, the movie made unimaginable earnings of $24,292,003.
