H2 - This One is Sure to Scare You
Written and directed by Rob Zombie, H2 or Halloween 2 was one of the most awaited horror movies of 2009. The movie eventually released on the august 28, 2009. The movie was rated R because of the obvious brutal violence that formed a vital part of the movie, explicit sexual content, abusive language and disturbing images. The movie is a sequel to the movie Halloween of 2007, which was also directed by Zombie. Incidentally, this is the tenth film ever made on the Halloween series.
H2 is a horror movie that revolves around the life of a man, who is out at large and desperately looking for his sister, who he had attacked. He fails to find her in their old home, as she was taken to the hospital immediately after she suffered wounds due to the attack. The hunt for this sister leads him to commit a few more murders. Will he be able to find his lost sister?
H2 has an amazing star cast, which includes Tyler Mane playing the role of the brother (Micheal Myers) while the sister (Laurie Strode) is played by Scout Taylor-Crompton. The other actors of the movie include Sheri Moon Zombie, Carolyn Williams and Brad Dourif.
Rob Zombe had little intentions about directing a sequel to Halloween, but when the studio expressed interest in the sequel, he decided to join the crew and write the screenplay. This was to make sure that no compromises were made in the conception of H2.
The movie opened on 28th of august and it managed to make an estimated figure of $7,640,000 on the first day. Towards the end of the same week, H2 had succeeded in attracting a gross profit of $16,349,565. All in all, the critics believe that it was a good movie, which managed to pull in crowds, but was certainly not as good as the original.
