  It's Complicated: Worth Watching

It's complicated was released in 2009 with a grand star cast of Meryl Streep, Alec Baldwin and Steve Martin. It is a romantic comedy about love, divorce and everything in between and across, written and directed by Nancy Meyers.

The plot of the movie is a really different and interesting one. The central character of the movie is Jane. Jane (Played by Meryl Streep) is the divorced mother of three grown up kids. She owns and runs a well to do food joint named Santa Barbara. After a decade of divorce, through the twists and turns of circumstances, she finds herself into an amicable relationship with her ex-husband, attorney Jake (Alec Baldwin). Things start to fall for the play when one fine day Jane and current boyfriend cum ex-husband Jake make a trip to visit their son's college graduation. This is the point where it all starts getting too COMPLICATED.

The complication is brought around by the fact that Jake is presently married to the young and very beautiful Agness and Jane suddenly is 'the other woman' in the current marriage. To add to the complications of their twisted lives, comes in another character Adam (Steve Martin), who is an architect and hired by Jane to re-work her kitchen. While Jane and Jack are too busy re-brewing their former relationship, poor Adam, who is just trying to cope up with a divorce of his own, falls in love with Jane. And the rest is a great story, worth watching out, with quite many opportunities of fitful laughter.

Nancy Meyers has subtly developed the plot. She gives a delightful and humorous account of human passions, desires and self-created complications. As always, Meryl Streep presents an impeccable performance, which is worth watching out for.
