Salt is Angelina Jolie's upcoming action thriller, which is directed by Philip Noyce. The movie is written by Brain Helgeland and Kurt Wimmer. Philip Noyce, who has also directed the Catch a fire, says that Salt is going to be a spy movie with action and thrill. The movie stars Angelina Jolie, Liev Schreiber, Chiwetel Ejiofor and Daniel Olbrychski.
The entire story of the movie revolves around Angelina Jolie being a CIA agent in the movie, who swore a promise towards her duty, country and honor to be loyal towards these. However, she gets accused to be a Russian sleeper spy. She flees away to protect her name, using all her skills and years of knowledge as a secret effective agent to elude imprison, guard her husband and stay ahead of her colleagues at the CIA. At the end, she ultimately proves she is a true patriot, but her efforts for proving her innocence serves as a suspicion on her motives.
Philip Noyce has replaced Tom Cruise in this CIA thriller, as the character of CIA agent was literally transformed from a male to a female for this movie. The name of the lead character was transformed from a male agent Edwin to a female, Evelyn A. Salt. This is why the name of the movie was shortened to Salt.
The direction done in the movie by Philip was great and outrageous action stunts are the appealing factor to attract people. Angelina Jolie has been the one, who has performed most of her stunts and got hurt while doing one of them. Her new fresh look is anxiously awaited by her fans.
